Lacy Nava is a native Floridian who has always called Central Florida home. Lacy received her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Central Florida prior to attending Barry University School of Law. During law school, Lacy worked for a prominent personal injury firm for two years.
Her engineering knowledge is invaluable in working with our own experts and cross-examining or deposing defense experts in cases involving motor vehicle accidents, premises defects, construction accidents as well as products liability cases. This unique perspective allows her to provide superior representation to those that have suffered injuries due to the fault of another.
She expanded her experience while in law school into the criminal arena, participating in criminal law trial competitions and acting as a Research Assistant on four articles, all relating to criminal law. Her dedication to the practice of law and the civil rights of Americans was put to good use when she was the President of the American Civil Liberties Union at Barry University School of Law for two years.
After graduation, Lacy worked for the Office of the Public Defender, Ninth Judicial Circuit in Orange County, where she gained essential criminal law experience in cases involving incompetency and individuals adjudicated insane. As a public service Lacy Nava is willing to co-counsel cases that involve incompetency/insanity. If you are an attorney and have questions regarding the competency of your client or you suspect your client was insane at the time of committing the alleged offense, please feel free to reach out to her.
As co-founder of the Arwani Law Firm, Lacy is dedicated to her overachiever’s mindset and goes into every case knowing that she will outwork her competition. The best description of her personality would be that she is analytical, determined and always in control. She prides herself on being down to earth and straightforward. Her confidence and sincerity always work to her client’s advantage in the courtroom and are instrumental tools in negotiations leading up to litigation.
Lacy lives in downtown Orlando with her husband, Perry Nava, who is an immigration attorney concentrating in entertainment visas and waivers.
