Attorney Kavita Sookrajh comes to us with 20 years of prior legal experience in various child-focused areas of law, such as Dependency law. She is a former State attorney for the State of Florida’s Department of Children and Families Services and she served as a Staff Attorney for the Legal Aid’s Guardian Ad Litem Program, where she developed numerous connections with the local Orange County Bar. She has handled hundreds of Trials and Evidentiary hearings single-handedly and comes to us with extensive litigation and motion practice experience. Her practice locales have primarily been concentrated in Orange, Seminole and Volusia Counties. She has also acquired vast appellate experience and she has a 100% percent success rate for all appellate brief’s she filed in the District Courts of Appeals over the years.
She is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Law in Coral Gables, Florida and she was raised in Palm Beach County, Florida where she considers home. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her close-knit family and local travel around Florida. She also enjoys YOGA, going to the GYM and OCBA functions.
